We do NOT collect:

• No payment information (Hipopick does not process purchases)

We DO collect (automatically):

We collect a limited amount of non-personal and behavioral data to operate the platform and improve recommendation quality:

• Device information (browser type, operating system, screen size)
• IP address (for security, anti-fraud, and regional routing)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies
• Page views, click behavior, session duration
• Product interactions (e.g., when you open a QR modal or click a product card)
• scan_id identifiers used to track cross-device flows between desktop → mobile for advertising attribution

This information does not allow us to personally identify you and is used solely for analytics and advertising effectiveness.

3. Cross-Device Tracking (scan_id)

Hipopick uses an internal identifier called scan_id to associate events that begin on desktop and continue on mobile.

Examples:

• When a user opens a QR modal on desktop
• When a user scans the QR code on their phone
• When a user opens the mobile bridge page connected to that QR

scan_id is not linked to personal information and is used only for:

• Measuring advertising performance
• Understanding whether our cross-device shopping flow works as intended
• Improving product recommendations

scan_id never identifies a specific person and does not track activity on other websites.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Service functionality
• Analytics (GA4)
• Advertising performance measurement (TikTok Pixel)
• Cross-device event attribution
• Preventing fraud or unusual activity

✔ TikTok Pixel

Used to measure TikTok advertising performance and understand how users arrive at Hipopick.

We may use server logs or infrastructure-level analytics to ensure platform reliability and prevent abuse.

We do not use Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or screen-recording tools.

Hipopick does NOT sell or rent your data.

Relationship with Hipobuy

Hipopick may provide links that redirect you to Hipobuy for product purchasing. This action is initiated only by the user, and we do not automatically share personal data with Hipobuy.
